Woman shares simple tip for folding fitted sheets and people say it's 'witchcraft'

A woman has been accused of "witchcraft" after showing people how to fold a fitted sheet perfectly. Australian influencer, Maddy Macrae, shared a video on her TikTok profile making a joke about how fitted sheets always end up in a ball when you try to fold them at home.

But at the start of the video, Maddy could be seen actually folding the sheet perfectly, which led to her comments being flooded with questions from people asking her how she did it. The influx of comments led her to make an explainer video showing the exact steps she took.

In the video, she said: "The other day I posted this video, but ironically, in the beginning of the video I could actually fold the fitted sheet.

"And so naturally the comments were full of people asking me how I did it, so this is how I fold the fitted sheet."

The first thing Maddy did was find one of the corners of the fitted sheet, before putting her hand into it with the corner being inside out.

She then found another corner and did the same thing with her other hand.

Maddy said: "Then you make those corners kiss and I flip one side over the other.

"You can put it [the sheet] down for this, but I just let it float and find the other side and do the same.

"I kind of like wiggle my hand in there until the two corners kind of are nestled into each other.

"Then if you hold on to the outside of those corners, you will see that we now have a square.

"You can just fold it this way, but I like to place it down onto a flat surface, and here I'm just folding both sides into the centre.

"Folding it in half, folding that in half and then folding it in half again.

"And that's how you fold a fitted sheet, aka witchcraft."

Commenters told the influencer she had "changed their life" while others accused her of witchcraft.

One user said: "WITCH!!!"

Another added: "That's magic! You're a magician!"

A third said: "I once told a guy on a date I had just learned how to fold a fitted sheet. He was not impressed. It's clear we did not have a second date."

Another penned: "This changed my life."
